 Intermediate Band provides Joseph Sims students the opportunity to be involved in a fun, educational extracurricular musical activity.
All students in the Intermediate Band must have completed one year of Beginning Band or have equivalent musical training.
Intermediate Band Class meets:
Mondays and Wednesdays:
3:30-4:30PM in the multipurpose room.
In Intermediate Band class students learn the fundamentals of music theory and basics of instrumental performance.
By the end of the class students will be able to read music (notes and rhythms) as well dynamics and articulation at musical grade level 2.0 and perform them on a band instrument.
Band Instruments offered:
Woodwinds: Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon and Saxophone
Brass: Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba
Percussion: Drums & Mallets (Both required)
